Barossa

Situated just over one hour north-east of Adelaide, the Barossa is acknowledged as one of the world’s leading wine regions, and is home to some of the oldest vineyards in the world. It’s famous for its big, bold reds, especially Shiraz, along with other varieties including Grenache, Mataro and Riesiling and Semillon.

The Barossa Valley is home to more than 80 cellar doors and 150 wineries.

With Premium Wine Tours you will taste wines unavailable to the general public, have the opportunity to purchase wines at discounted prices, and where possible, meet the winemaker, go behind the scenes and experience barrel tasting (subject to availability).

From the family owned boutique wineries, to the strictly by appointment hidden gems or larger iconic wineries, each tour is unique to you and tailored to your individual interests.

Scott encourages his guests to try new wineries and he takes great delight in arranging a personalised itinerary for each tour. Choose wineries you would like to visit, or leave some or the entire itinerary in Scott's capable hands.

Just sit back and enjoy!

A few of our favourite Barossa wineries include...

Cirillo Estate
Incredibly they have one of the world's oldest producing Grenache and Semillon vines at 170 years old! Strictly by appointment, Marco the winemaker and his dad are the only two that have managed this historic vineyard in the last 45 years. Marco does his tastings in his winery and you can tour the vineyard and see the 170 year old Grenache, Semillon and Shiraz vines. Fantastic Rose, Mataro, Shiraz and of course Grenache!
EXPLORE
Ballycroft
Joe Evans is a one man operation located in Greenock and has worked at wineries such as Rockford, Greenock Creek and Murray Street over the last 20 years. He makes big, full bodied reds and is only licensed for eight people in his wife's old cheese factory so he's pretty much by appointment only. A great character who what he lacks in size certainly makes up with his big wines and an incredible experience!
EXPLORE
Lindsay Wine Estate
One of my newest stops, they offer a great range of reds and whites. Lindsay offer my guests an incredible barrel tasting of vertical wines in the shed, including Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot and as a quirky difference they have over 4500 different vinyl records that you can choose to play while you're there!
EXPLORE
Yelland & Papps
Michael and Susan Papps run their family owned winery just out of Nuriootpa and have beautiful wines including Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, as well as whites such as Vermentino and Roussanne.  They have a beautiful cellar door and the tastings can be enjoyed outside on a nice day or inside on their chesterfield lounge suites. It's a regular stopover of ours and has excellent wines!
EXPLORE
Two Hands Wines
Unbelievable wines with a focus on red wine, in particular Shiraz. It's a fantastic setting in Marananga and they have a great outdoor deck available for tastings (weather permitting of course!) and showcases wines from not only the Barossa, but a number of other regions around South Australia and export a lot of their wines internationally as well.
